Hannah O’Rourke is the co-founder and director of Campaign Lab, a nonprofit organization dedicated to researching, inventing, and testing innovative tools to improve analysis of electoral campaigns. Her work focuses on reimagining civic engagement practices to meet challenges such as declining voter turnout and the erosion of trust in institutions. Through Campaign Lab, she develops and tests approaches that combine technology with collective action. Hannah has led numerous innovation projects, including the development of an AI-powered Council Minutes Tracker that has significantly improved the searchability of UK council minutes, and was part of a team that developed a digital organizing program that enabled thousands of users to share their own content online through self-run networks across numerous constituencies. She teaches political innovation at the London College of Political Technology.
