Tom Geddes
Partner & Head of the Family Office, Brown Advisory
Tom is a Partner and Head of the Family Office Business at Brown Advisory, a private, independent investment firm with clients and offices across the United States and in Europe and Asia. Based in the firm’s Baltimore headquarters, Tom works with colleagues across all of the firm’s geographies to ensure the seamless delivery of best-in-class investment performance, strategic advice and timely service to significant family office clients.
In addition, Tom works directly with clients on their family’s investment strategy, and provides counsel on their financial lives and long-term family goals. Prior to joining the firm, Tom served for eight years as the founder and CEO of a major single-family office, managing the family’s investment portfolio and philanthropic efforts and overseeing a number of private operating businesses.
In addition to his role with My Brother’s Keeper Alliance, Tom is a Director of the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, and serves as Chair of the Board of three nonprofit organizations: MedStar Harbor Hospital, Partners in Excellence, and the Sutton Scholars program of the Episcopal Diocese of Maryland.
