President Obama and the inaugural class of MBK Ambassadors join together for their first formal convening. MBK Ambassadors united to build brotherhood, embrace leadership, and begin their two-year journey of service and impact through the Ambassadors program.

The inaugural MBK Ambassadors Convening marked a transformative moment for 18 young men, ages 18–24, handpicked to represent their Certified MBK Communities on a national stage. This inaugural, invitation-only gathering brought together recent high school graduates, college students, and young professionals who had committed to a two-year journey of leadership, service, and impact.
Designed as a high-energy, purpose-driven experience, the convening ignited the Ambassadors’ understanding of the MBK movement and their power to lead change through one of the Six MBK Milestones. Together, they learned more about the program’s core values, identified their unique leadership strengths and assets, and learned to harness the power of storytelling to turn personal experiences into a force for good.
A defining highlight of the convening was an unforgettable conversation with President Obama, where the Ambassadors reflected on their purpose, potential, and the collective legacy they are building. This gathering was not just a convening—it was the start of a lifelong mission to lead with vision, uplift their communities, and inspire a new generation of changemakers.
