Jumping Juniors (Opens in a new tab) cultivates girls’ physical well-being through Double Dutch, but their impact goes far beyond the ropes.
Through the program’s focus on collaboration and mentorship, girls gain essential life skills that bolster their self-esteem, resilience, and sense of community.
Jumping Juniors introduces adolescent girls from across Chicago to the art of Double Dutch and culturally significant childhood activities. In the age of digital technology, Jumping Juniors also provides a “screens-free” sanctuary where girls can learn and celebrate their collective growth. From training and team competitions to workshops on mental health and financial literacy, the program equips girls with the tools they need to navigate life.
With support through the Girls Opportunity Alliance Fund, Jumping Juniors will expand their program at Emmett Till Elementary on Chicago’s South Side with the goal of reaching more than 150 adolescent girls. Jumping Juniors is committed to making a positive and enduring impact on the lives of girls, contributing to their overall well-being and the vitality of their communities.
